Mission Focus Chart v2We live in a beautiful but broken world.  Because we believe anything’s possible, we seek to help people flourish as God intends.  Our global partners serve in four overlapping areas:  Discipleship and Church Planting; Justice and Restoration; Relief and Development; and Schools and Education Systems.

Through our partnerships and hands-on experiences, we’re called to learn more about the global challenges in our time, how God IS bringing hope–and how you can be part of God’s plan.

Kenya/Uganda - Extreme Poverty Learning Trip: June 25th - July 6th, 2016

A very determined, but open-minded team headed off on a trip to Uganda and Kenya this summer to visit a variety of our partners, who work with some of the areas in Africa that experience the most extreme poverty anywhere in the world. The team came back blessed and changed from this experience. Both leaders sharing that it was one of the best trips they had ever done.

Belize - PathLight: June 25nd - July 2nd, 2016

A team of educators headed down to Belize to work with High School teachers this summer; to encourage, equip and share resources with fellow teachers.

“It’s our third year working with high school teachers, and it was such a blessing to see relationships growing.   As we have gotten to know the teachers and schools beater, trust has grown and we received candid and honest feedback about what teachers needed more of. The teacher trainers on the team were amazingly flexible to adapt to what teachers needed.  We also are struck by how growing relationships and sharing lives can bring joy and sadness.” –  Anjanette Lundell (team leader)

Mexico - Juarez: July 13 - 16th, 2016

A team of 34 spent a long weekend down in Juarez, Mexico working with a long time partner of Menlo church. As always the team had a really great experience of service and felt so blessed to be apart of what God is doing in those communities. Menlo’s dedication to this area has been strong over the years with us taking more than one team several times a year.

Los Angeles, CA - Middle School: July 17th - 22nd, 2016

Our middle school students and leaders headed back down to LA this summer. Along with Next Step Ministries, the team partnered with organizations dedicated to empowering those in the city who are experiencing physical and spiritual oppression. Places like the Union Rescue Mission, a ministry that helps thousands of people get off the streets and build a new life through short and long-term services, Hope Gardens, an oasis of hope with transitional housing for women and children to carry each family from homelessness to independence within three years, and many more.

Haiti - Sanctuary/Young Adults: July 22nd - 30th, 2016

More than 20 of our college and young adult groups set out to Haiti in mid July with Beyond Partnership. Dominican Republic - Edify: July 23rd - 31st, 2016

A trip geared towards families: we had 49 adults and kids in total, who were able to come along side the schools Edify supports, and run two Bible Camps for the week. This was a great way for families to serve together and be reminded that God is in everything and works in people all over the world. One highlight was attending a local church service and praising God in Spanish.

In addition, they spent time building relationships with the residents there.
