“My people, hear my teaching; listen to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth with a parable; I will utter hidden things, things from of old – things we have heard and known, things our ancestors have told us. We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done. He decreed statues for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which He commanded our ancestors to teach their children, so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget His deeds but would keep His commands.”
New Horizons Bible Study
Pastor Frank VanderZwan has been leading Bible studies every Sunday morning for the last 30+ years. The group meets every Sunday morning from 10 am to 11 am in Fellowship Hall, Menlo Park campus at 950 Santa Cruz Avenue. Pastor Frank teaches the bible in an expository manner, taking each verse and commenting on the background and how we can apply the verses today. The class opens with singing a hymn, greeting visitors, sharing announcements, taking prayer requests, and praying for each other. Special guests to class often include visiting missionaries who share their experiences in their mission field. This is a wonderful mixed-age community that offers a great opportunity to build some community and relationships at Menlo Church.
Wednesday Morning Bible Study
Pastor Frank VanderZwan is leading a study through the BOOK OF ISAIAH. Pastor Frank leads a Wednesday morning bible study each week from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. in Garden Court, Menlo Park campus, 950 Santa Cruz Avenue. This community is a group where relationships are built with study, shared prayer, and fellowship. Everyone is welcome to join us week after week for expositional Bible study. We begin the fellowship with coffee and pastries so that we feed the body as well as the soul.
