When can I start?

The program starts on August 1st or January 1.

How long is the program?

The two-year program runs from August 1 to July 31 (two full ministry years). Eighteen months into the program, if coaches deem their residents ready, residents may begin applying for jobs at other churches.

How many hours do residents work?

Approximately 29 hours per week.

Will I get paid?

You will receive $15/hour.

Where will I live?

Menlo Church will provide housing for program participants. Each Resident will be offered one bedroom with access to a shared kitchen, living room, and bathroom.

Do I need a car?

Yes. Menlo Church is one church in many locations. Residents will be assigned to various campuses throughout the Bay Area and work different schedules based on each ministry's unique needs. Each participant is responsible for providing for his or her own transportation.

What if I don’t live in the US?

We do not offer visas to foreign applicants. If you're able to secure a visa on your own, then go ahead and apply!

Can I have an outside job?

Due to the nature of church ministry, your schedule will not be the same week to week, so we discourage a regular outside job where flexibility can be difficult. Additionally, the training schedule may be intense; we believe in caring for your whole self and want to be sure that outside jobs do not lead to Resident burnout.

Are there any job guarantees after this program?

While we are hoping to equip you to be hireable at the end of this program, we do not guarantee a job within or outside of Menlo Church.

Can I participate in this program if I’m married?

Yes. We welcome married students, but we will be unable to provide housing for married couples.
