Residents will pursue training in one of four Ministry Tracks:
The Menlo Kids Track is aimed at developing leaders who long to focus their heart and training on reaching children and enabling them to establish long-lasting, sticky relationships with Jesus Christ. As part of the Kids Ministry Track, you will be trained in how to recruit and train volunteer leaders, evaluate and edit curriculum, optimize operational functions to connect with kids and keep families engaged, including through database, communications, and ministry platforms.
The Menlo Students Track is aimed at developing leaders who long to focus their heart and training on helping middle and high school students build thriving relationships with Jesus. As a part of the Students Ministry Track, you will learn about the many complexities of ministering to students at this formative stage in their lives, focusing on three areas: programming to engage students and their families, building and sustaining vibrant life groups and volunteers, and equipping to lead students worship and programs effectively.
The Worship Track is aimed at developing leaders who long to focus their heart and training on leading people in worship of Jesus Christ through music and prayer, primarily during worship services. As a part of the Worship Track, you will learn about the theological tie-ins to worship, band direction, how to build a worship team, recruit, train and engage volunteers, build music tracks using platforms like Ableton, and effectively lead the weekend worship experience.
The Adult Ministry Track is aimed at developing leaders who long to focus their heart and training on leading adults toward deeper relationship with Jesus. As a part of the Adult Ministry Track, you will learn how to effectively build and train volunteer teams, welcome and connect people together in community, facilitate programming designed to help adults integrate into the church and pursue their next steps of faith.
