Dear Menlo Church,
Blessed season of Lent to you. We hope you are enjoying early signs of spring as we look forward to flowers blooming and longer days of sun.
You may recall our letter earlier this month when we announced the start of the Senior Pastor search process. Session (Elder Board) fully believes that God knows and He has already identified the person called to be our Senior Pastor. Now, we welcome and would appreciate your prayerful support and recommendations in seeking nominations for the Senior Pastor Search Committee (SPSC) to find the person God is calling.
Session has been praying for wisdom and discernment for the entire search process, and believes that the SPSC should be composed of spiritually mature Menlo Church members who represent our campuses and the ethnic, gender and generational diversity of our congregation. This chart will give you further details about serving on the SPSC and the desired qualifications for committee members. It also outlines other ways to serve and shape the future of Menlo Church.
We would like to request your help in identifying qualified candidates for service on the SPSC. If you would like to volunteer for the committee, or want to recommend someone, please let your Campus Pastor know by March 8. If serving on the NAC (Nominating Advisory Committee) or being an Elder resonates with you, please let them know, too. It would be nice to be a step ahead! We commit to communicating and keeping you informed throughout the process. The links below will provide information updates.

We are excited by this season! As noted in our February 3 letter, Philippians 3:13-14 states “...Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” As a community of believers, we look forward to a future of proclaiming the good news of Jesus to others and to bless our communities with his love, grace, justice, and compassion.
