GLOBAL outreach

Opportunities to serve internationally through partnerships or mission trips.

Listening, learning, and loving are core principles for our outreach initiatives.

At Menlo Church, we believe that outreach is more than just a service project; it's an opportunity to deepen our understanding of God's love and to make a tangible difference in the lives of others. Inspired by the teachings of Steve Corbett, Brian Fikkert, and Katie Casselberry in their book "Helping Without Hurting in Short-Term Missions," we emphasize the importance of listening, learning, and loving as core principles for our outreach initiatives.

By listening attentively to the stories and needs of those we serve, we gain a deeper appreciation for their experiences and can tailor our efforts to address their specific challenges. Learning from the local community empowers us to understand their unique cultural context and avoid making assumptions that could hinder our effectiveness. Most importantly, loving our neighbors unconditionally is the foundation upon which all meaningful outreach is built. By demonstrating compassion, empathy, and respect, we can create lasting relationships and inspire hope in those we serve.
